The scheme was granted to Department of Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology. The Star College Scheme by DBT has been a remarkable march towards progress in a \u201cjoint venture\u201d with the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi to strengthen the UG Science Departments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The College is focusing on the following objectives for strengthening UG component-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skill Development<\/li>\n<li>Research and Development<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Exposure<\/li>\n<li>Societal Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scheme intends to improve hands on training exposure for students, in response to the changing needs of society, contribution towards raising the level of scientific knowledge and orienting under graduate students towards research and development. Also to generate curiosity and to build a scientific temper amongst under graduate students of life sciences, to impart training in biotechnological and chemical techniques and to enhance their skills in the laboratory. The following equipment was purchased with the allocated grants department wise[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span style=\"color:
