He took the Department along with the College to Academic heights, which firmly placed St. Aloysius\u2019 College as the premium College in Madhya Pradesh in the 1950\u2019s and 1960\u2019s. He retired in 1985 and Mr N.P Shukla took over as Head of the Department from 1985 to 1994. Prof. C.G Bhagwat was the Head from 1994 to 1995. Dr. K. Das was head from 1995 to 2017. Dr. Pramod Chaitanya took over the reins of headship from 2017 onwards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACHIEVEMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Department of Physics has been recognized as a Research Center by Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalya.<\/li>\n<li>Three of the faculty members are registered Ph.D. guide.<\/li>\n<li>6 students have completed their Ph.D. and 2 students are registered.<\/li>\n<li>Patent filed: 1 Patent published : 1<\/li>\n<li>Department provide consultancy service for Characterization of samples done through:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">XRD, UV-VIS, AFM, REFLECTOMETER &amp; Microhardness Testing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed UGC sponsored Eight Minor and One Major UGC Research Projects.<\/li>\n<li>More than 100 Research Papers have been published in various International \/ National journals.<\/li>\n<li>More than 25 Papers\/ abstracts of P.G \/ UG Students have been presented at National and International Level Conferences.<\/li>\n<li>PG and UG students have participated in various national \/international conferences ,workshops, training programs<\/li>\n<li>The Department assists in the Conduction of the National Graduate Physics Examination organised by the Indian Association of PhysicsTeachers(IAPT).<\/li>\n<li>Kallol Das is resource persons on Mathematica. Ltd Indore., S.Unitek IT Park, Sri Pat baba Solar power house , GCF Factory, Aditi Transformer, Regionsl Science Center, Bhopal, IEHE Bhopal, IISER Bhopal, IIITDM Jabalpur etc.<\/li>\n<li>The Department is the only center in Jabalpur for National Graduate Physics Examination conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers.<\/li>\n<li>The department assists in the Conduction of the National Graduate Physics Examination organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers.
