Resource Person Dr. K. Das, Vice principal, \u00a0St. Aloysius College Jabalpur, shared her insights on the topic Application of Mathematical Modelling on differential equation , difference equation and Real problem. The students of Mathematics benefited from the lecture.<\/p>\n National Webinar<\/strong><\/p>\n Department of Mathematics of St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Jabalpur and Patna\u00a0Women\u2019s College (Autonomous) Patna organized a National Webinar (22nd<\/sup> Dec\u2019 2022) on\u00a0\u2018History and Recent Trends in Mathematics\u2019. The day started with the inaugural session\u00a0followed by a guest lecture by Dr. Mandira Kar Head, Department of Mathematics St.\u00a0Aloysius College (Autonomous) Jabalpur on \u2018Indian Mathematicians in the Vedic Age\u2019\u00a0followed by presentations by students of Patna Women\u2019s College Patna. Post lunch session\u00a0began with a guest lecture by Ms. Alka Kumari Head Department of Mathematics Patna\u00a0Women\u2019s College, Patna on Real Analysis followed by student presentations by St. Aloysius\u00a0College (Autonomous). Twenty-five students presented their work and were judged by the faculty of both institutions. The event ended with the Valedictory function wherein the\u00a0\u2018Aloysian Mathematical Society 2021-2022\u2019 was released. The winners of the \u2018Student Presentation\u2019 competition were declared. 125 \u00a0participants faculty, teachers & professional benefitted from this National webinar<\/p>\n National Mathematics Day Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n The students & faculty of the Department of Mathematics St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Jabalpur celebrated the National Mathematics Day with great zeal & enthusiasm. The winners of the Power Point competition held earlier on \u2018Legacy of Indian Mathematics and Latest Trends in Mathematics\u2019 were declared. A National Webinar \u2018History & Recent Trends of Mathematics\u2019 was also organized in collaboration with Patna Women\u2019s College, Patna to mark the auspicious day.<\/p>\n PG Student Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n A workshop was held for post graduate students where they presented research articles & reviews was on 19th<\/sup> Nov. \u20182022. 20 students participated. Their work was done under the guidance of Dr. Mandira Kar, Dr. Akhilesh Pathak & Mr. Satyendra Jain. Several under graduate & post graduate students attended & benefitted from this workshop.<\/p>\n Certificate Course- Vedic Mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n Interdisciplinary Certificate Course titled \u2018Vedic Mathematics\u2019 was held from 28th<\/sup> Sept. to 18 Nov. \u20182022. The introductory class was taken by Dr. Mandira Kar the coordinator. Dr. Archana Pasari & Dr. Akhilesh Pathak were the resource persons. Twenty-one students from different disciplines benefitted.<\/p>\n 2021-2022<\/strong><\/p>\n He spoke on \u2018Generalized Barycentric Coordinates\u2019 and gave inputs on various aspects ranging from coordinate system to Barycentric coordinate system in n-dimension & its applications.
