The program aimed to raise awareness about women&#8217;s empowerment, equality, and their important role in society. Dr. Rita Chauhan and Dr. Nilanjana Pathak were the keynote speakers. Expressing her views, she said that today, women are making significant contributions to education, society, administration, and various other fields. She encouraged women to become self-reliant, prioritize education, and be aware of their rights. In her speech, she also emphasized that the overall development of society and the nation is possible only through women&#8217;s empowerment. Students from XIDAS and St. Aloysius College participated actively in the Budget Discussion. During the discussion students have covered various aspects of the <strong>Budget 2026-27<\/strong>. They covered areas like Tax Reduction, Women Participation in Entrepreneurship, Incorporation of Technology in the Budget, Orange Economy, Youth Participation in Share Market, Infrastructure Bottleneck \u2013 Internet Connectivity, De-globalisation and India, Bio-Pharma Industry in India, MSME, Capital Market in Union Budget 2026. The names of the participants were Nandini Agrawal, Shreya Mishra, Aman Mashram, Dilasa Jain, Swara Shekatkar, Ananya pathak etc. The expert comment was given by Prof. S.K. Choubey, Rtd. Professor, UIM &amp; P.G. Department of Economics &amp; Research Centre, R.D.V.V., Jabalpur and Mr. Rishi Tripathi, Director, Money Tree, Jabalpur. The objective of the tour was to spread awareness among rural residents about the government schemes available meant for their social and economics welfare. The department organized two competitions- Poster making Competition entitled <strong>\u201c<\/strong>Inspired by Swami Vivekanand: Courage to create, Power to innovate\u201d and Rangoli making Competition entitled \u201cUniversal Religion: A vision of Swami Vivekanand\u201d. Total 35 students devotedly participated in this competition. The session was conducted by Mr. Aditya Singh, Superintendent, CGST &amp; Central Excise, Jabalpur, who has over ten years of professional experience and has served in Bhopal, Delhi, and Jabalpur, and is currently posted at the Headquarters. Total 63 Students from B.A. Economics, M.A. Economics, and the Vocational Course in Export-Import Management attended the lecture. Mr. Singh explained the concept, need, structure, and implementation of the GST system, highlighting key aspects such as input tax credit, tax slabs, filing procedures, and compliance mechanisms. He also discussed practical challenges faced during the GST transition and its implications for economic growth. The interactive session enabled students to clarify doubts and better understand the real-world functioning of India\u2019s tax system. This initiative not only promoted a greener campus but also instilled in students a sense of responsibility towards environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Following this, a <strong>speech competition<\/strong> was held on the theme <em>\u201cNo Gender, Only Human\u201d<\/em>. 52 students attended and Fifteen undergraduate and postgraduate students participated, articulating their perspectives on gender equality, inclusivity, and social harmony. The program began with the plantation of 7349<sup>th<\/sup> sampling of Ashoka Pendula in Civic Centre Park at 10am. Kadam Foundation has been conducting the Plantation Program since last 21 years. The students participated in various activities such as song, speech and poem to evoke the sense of responsibility towards the environment. The students also organized a small quiz to spread awareness about the environment and for its preservation. The session was enriched by the practical application of use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in web designing and the making of flipbook magazine. At the beginning of the program Post Graduate students have given input sessions on the respected topic \u201c Impact of industrial production on import &amp; export\u201d. 21 Students participated in group discussions.The students were divided into four groups and after the discussion every group has presented the outcomes of the discussion drawn by their respected groups.
