Charity and love are the same &#8212; with charity you give love, so don&#8217;t just give money but reach out your hand instead.\u201d\n\u2015\u00a0Mother Teresa\n\n<strong>ACTIVITIES OF SHARING AND CARING (CHARITY)<\/strong>\n\nWith these words of Mother Teresa the team SAMARPAN conducted various activities to the school children of our villages as well as our college campus. These are\n<ol>\n \t<li>Clothes Distribution Activity<\/li>\n \t<li>Donation of Stationary &amp; Grocery Items<\/li>\n \t<li>Sharing Is Caring-Ek Prayas\u2019 &amp; Feed the Need<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<strong>\u00a0 Clothes Distribution Activity<\/strong>\n\n\u201cHappiness doesn\u2019t result from what we get, but from what we give\u201d \u00a0by Ben Carson. Through this activity students learn how to make changes in the world by distributing their old clothes to the needy.\n\n<strong>Donation of Stationary &amp; Grocery Items<\/strong>\n\nThe students and faculty members donated groceries, woolen clothes, blankets and other articles for the children.\n\n<strong>Sharing is Caring- Ek Prayas &amp; <\/strong><strong>Feed the Need<\/strong>\n\nUnder the banner of ISR all faculty members of the Department of English visited Sneh-Niketan- A Home for physically and mentally challenged children, Jabalpur, M.P. along with U.G.\/P.G. students of English Literature on 19 December 2019.\n\nThe students and faculty members themselves donated and collected groceries, woollen clothes, blankets and other articles for the children. The especially abled children were the prima-focus so the students baked cakes for them. Chocolates and other eatables were distributed.\n\nThe children were overjoyed to receive gifts just before Christmas. They giggled, laughed, talked and played with the students and teachers. The administrators said that the groceries provided, would last more than a month.\n\nIt was a wonderful experience for teachers and students so it was decided to conduct such more activities in future as well. As is the name of the activity, \u2018Sharing is Caring- <em>Ek Prayas<\/em>.\u2019 It was truly joyous and satiating.\n\n<strong>Feed the Need<\/strong>\n\nLarge number of students coming from for off places or hostels or paying guest accommodations come to college without eating anything and suffer from different problems during the classes due to hunger.
