St Aloysius College(Autonomous), Jabalpur was granted the STAR COLLEGE SCHEME BY DEPARTEMNT OF BIOTECHNOLGY,MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, NEW DELHI IN THE YEAR 2020. The scheme was granted to Department of Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology. The Star College Scheme by DBT has been a remarkable march towards progress in a “joint venture” with the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi to strengthen the UG Science Departments.
The College is focusing on the following objectives for strengthening UG component-

The scheme intends to improve hands on training exposure for students, in response to the changing needs of society, contribution towards raising the level of scientific knowledge and orienting under graduate students towards research and development. Also to generate curiosity and to build a scientific temper amongst under graduate students of life sciences, to impart training in biotechnological and chemical techniques and to enhance their skills in the laboratory.
