DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

OVERVIEW

The department of Chemistry was established in the year 1951.The Department works with the Motto “SOAR HIGH SEAGULLS”. Our Vision emphasizes- “Search for Chemistry within and beyond by observation and analysis to produce a better Human being”. Our Mission proposes that ” We the department of chemistry will create and facilitate an environment for the students to Probe, Search, Learn and Evolve into an effective social being.” The department has progressed continuously since its establishment. We attained new heights with the inception of  Biochemistry in 2003 at the undergraduate program, Post Graduate programme  in Chemistry in 2011 and recognition as  research centre by Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur in 2015. Presently four members of the department have been recognized by the university. The department is actively engaged in teaching, learning and research for the holistic development of the students.
