Dr. Neelanjana Pathak is Head, Department of English, St. Aloysius’ Autonomous College, Jabalpur. She has been in the teaching profession for the last 30 years. As a teacher she believes in refining the sensibilities of her students and transcending texts. She was awarded Ph.D degree for her doctoral dissertation on Charlotte Bronte’s autobiographical fiction. She has published more than 15 scholarly papers in national and international journals/magazines, has co-edited 03 books and published 01 book. She has also published poems in print and electronic sources. She has been on the State Level Committee on Women’s Literacy and was awarded the ‘Saksharta Mitra’ award in 2009. In 2010, she received the ‘Editor’s Choice Award’ for creative and critical writing from Home of Letters, India. She is actively engaged in research work and has guided 24 M.Phil dissertations so-far. She has been made PhD Supervisor in 2012. Eight students waiting for RDC to be registered. She believes that what the mind can believe and conceive, it can achieve. She has been invited as a resource person to several colleges and universities. She is the editor of Ninad, a multidisciplinary biannual journal and on the editorial board of an international journal on Women published from Jabalpur University. Because excellence is an ongoing journey, and not a destination, as part of the learning process she has been participating regularly in seminars/workshops/conferences. Strongly believes in the saying that “the purpose of life is a life of purpose”. Want to use years of experience and exposure in the realm of Higher Education, to inspire young aspirants to transcend texts and be of service to Self and Society. Want to be a part of any winning team and explore new frontiers, day after day, making every experience in life “a teachable moment”.

  • Worked at Maharishi Mahila Ved Vigyan Mahavidyala, Jabalpur in the Department of English against a permanent vacancy for 16 years.
